GORONGOSA NATIONAL PARK
With an area of ​​approximately 4,067 kilometers, the park is situated on the southern boundary of the Great African Rift Valley area and covers the flat valley area and parts of the highlands that surround it. The plain is watered by the rivers originating on Mount Gorongosa. Seasonal flooding and waterlogging of the valley, which is composed of different soil types, create a variety of distinct ecosystems.
